This is my main H.F. station. It consists of a Ten Tec Orion II and Command Technologies HF2500 linear amplifier. I really like the modern functions of this Ten Tec transceiver such as the Digital Signal Processing, main and sub receivers, variable transmit & receive bandwidth settings to name just a few. The microphone is an Electret type and modulates the transmitter via a W2IHY 8 band equaliser.
I use an Icom IC-746Pro for 6 and 2 metre band SSB activities.
A couple of my Collins 75A-4 receivers and the TS-530S station from Kenwood. For some reason many hams call radios of the TS-530S vintage 'boat anchors'!
My ultimate vintage HF station is the one pictured below. It's Collins equipment from the 1950's and known as the "Gold Dust Twins" as the cost of this equipment was beyond what most hams could afford at that time. The receiver on the left is a 75A-4, the transmitter on the right is a KWS-1 and the unit in the centre is a SC-101 (Station Control System). I have a receiver and transmitter but still need to acquire (or build) a power supply for the transmitter. The power supply is on the floor to the right of the desk.
Have a look at some of the radios I enjoyed over many years
